My husband Mike has always been dedicated to working hard and getting things done right. He believed he could make a difference at any place he worked by providing the best service or product for the customer. So, when in 2004 he came to me with an opportunity to buy Andy Lewis, it didn’t really surprise me, just didn’t know I was also part of his big picture.
I had spent the last 15 years working in school systems, teaching and supporting technology. I loved working with students, and school staff to help, integrate technology for instruction for students and support updating school applications for student information and finance programs.
When he proposed the idea of us working together, I was a little nervous, he has a strong ability to analyze and solve problems, improve processes, and focus on people’s needs. I wasn’t sure where I fit would in. At the beginning, it was everything from paying bills, answering calls, inputting information into the computer, and ordering supplies. Thankfully we have grown a lot since then and have an amazing team that is much better than me in most of these areas!
Now I focus on working with each department to ensure customers satisfaction, planning and executing goals, dealing with personnel issues, coordinating marketing plans, analyzing data, and reviewing new software to improve our systems. But the most important job is building a team that truly cares about the customer’s needs as their priority, that whatever job you do here, you can make a difference.
In my time away from work, I love time with my husband, motorcycle riding, swimming, and quiet time out on our porch. We are especially blessed with 2 daughters and their families, our 4 grandchildren keep us very busy and entertained, they truly bring peace and joy to our lives.
